No. The course is fully self-paced. Once you enroll, you have access until you complete it. Most students finish in 6 to 12 weeks of part-time study, but you can move faster or slower based on your rotation.
Lesson progress saves locally. When you reconnect, your progress syncs. Most lesson content can also be downloaded ahead of time for offline viewing.

You submit your course completion certificate alongside your sea time letters, medical certificate (CG-719K), TWIC, application form, and Pay.gov receipt. We provide a checklist and walkthrough on completion.
